Advertising or tracking cookies on this site

We use no advertising cookies, no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no cross-site trackers, and no fingerprinting. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookieless by design. The only cookies we set are strictly necessary to make the Site work, plus optional functional storage for guide reading state.

§1What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device when you visit. The browser sends the file back to the same website on subsequent visits, allowing the site to remember information about you (such as your consent choice or login session).

This Policy also covers similar technologies, including:

  • Local storage — browser-side key/value storage that persists across sessions, used by us for guide reading state and checklist progress;
  • Session storage — browser-side key/value storage that clears when you close the tab;
  • HTTP headers and ETags — set by our CDN (Cloudflare) for caching and security; not user-trackable.

We do not use: web beacons, pixel tags, fingerprinting scripts, third-party advertising tags, or cross-domain trackers.

§2Full Cookie Inventory

Below is the complete inventory of cookies and local storage entries the Site may set on your device. We update this table whenever a cookie is added, removed, or changes purpose.

Strictly necessary (no consent required)

Functional (consent required, optional)

Analytics (cookieless — for transparency)

Why we chose Plausible

Plausible is EU-hosted (under GDPR), open-source, and was designed specifically to be a Google Analytics replacement that doesn't require a cookie banner. The trade-off is that we get less granular data — and we're fine with that. We can see which guides readers spend time on; we cannot identify you.

§3Third-Party Cookies (After You Click an Affiliate Link)

When you click an affiliate link to a casino brand, the destination brand's tracking software will set its own cookies on its own domain. These cookies are:

  • Set by the destination brand, not by us;
  • Stored on the brand's domain, not on freecreditcasinos.net;
  • Subject to the destination brand's own cookie and privacy policies, not this one;
  • Out of our control — we cannot view, modify, or delete them.

If you wish to avoid third-party tracking when clicking affiliate links, you can:

  • Use a private/incognito browser window;
  • Use a tracking-blocking browser extension (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger);
  • Navigate to the brand directly without clicking our link (you'll just receive no commission attribution to us — same experience).

§4How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser

In addition to the consent manager on this page, you can control cookies at the browser level. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies, either individually or in bulk:

Chrome & Edge

Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. Or click the lock icon in the address bar → Cookies and site data.

Firefox

Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data. Per-site: Tools → Page Info → Permissions.

Safari (macOS)

Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data. Block: Preferences → Privacy → Block all cookies.

Safari (iOS)

Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security → Block All Cookies. Clear: Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data.

What happens if you block everything

If you block strictly necessary cookies entirely, the consent banner will reappear on every page load (since we can't remember your choice). Other parts of the Site will still work — we don't gate any content behind cookies.

§5Do Not Track Signals

Your browser may send a Do Not Track (DNT) header with each request. We treat DNT as equivalent to a "reject all optional" choice in our consent manager — meaning we set only strictly necessary cookies and disable functional storage where possible.

We similarly honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where transmitted.

§6Changes to Your Consent

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by:

  • Visiting this page and using the consent manager above;
  • Clearing cookies for freecreditcasinos.net in your browser, which will re-trigger the initial consent banner;
  • Emailing privacy@freecreditcasinos.net if you need help.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out under prior consent.

§7Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, our service providers, or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated by:

  • An updated "Last Updated" date and incremented version number at the top of this page;
  • A re-prompt of the consent banner if the change introduces new optional cookies;
  • A notice on the Site homepage for 14 days following any material change.
